It is learned from the Household Paper Professional Committee of China Paper Association that in 2001, the national toilet paper output was about 2.75 million tons, ranking second in the world; the consumption was 2.66 million tons, accounting for about 12% of the world’s total toilet paper consumption.
At present, there are more and more types of toilet paper in the domestic market, including toilet paper rolls, napkins, facial tissues, kitchen paper rags, paper towels, and napkins, paper rags, wet wipes and other products made of dry-laid paper.

Paper and cardboard production increased by 7.50% year-on-year to 121.05 million tons. Consumption increased by 6.94% year-on-year to 126.48 million tons.
U.S.
Paper and paperboard output decreased by 0.4% year-on-year.
Europe
Paper and board production increased by 5.8% year-on-year to 90.2 million tons. Consumption was up about 5% year-on-year.
