According to foreign media news, Canada intends to comprehensively restrict the production, import and sale of plastic products. The ban was previously planned for 2021 but has been delayed due to the (COVID-19) impact.

The time plan for the ban is: to ban the sale of the above six types of plastic products by the end of next year, and to ban exports by the end of 2025. Due to medical needs, some products are exempted

On June 22, 2022, Canada issued SOR/2022-138 “Single-use Plastic Ban Regulations”, which prohibits the production, import and sale of 7 types of disposable plastic products in Canada. Except for some special exceptions, the manufacture and import of these disposable plastic products are prohibited. Sexual plastic policy will come into force in December 2022
